Symposium on Education in the Age of Generative AI (March 2024)
This symposium aims to explore the transformative impact of generative AI (GenAI) on education broadly and various disciplines, particularly science and engineering, a bit more specifically. Education specialists will shed light on how the education landscape needs to evolve in light of the rapid spread of GenAI tools. The symposium will also address ethical considerations related to the use of GenAI in education, ensuring that participants gain a holistic understanding of the challenges associated with implementing these technologies responsibly.
Participants will hear insightful presentations by specialists who will share innovative strategies for harnessing the use of GenAI tools most astutely in the educational arena, fostering a deeper understanding of its potential to enhance teaching methodologies, personalize learning experiences, and facilitate collaboration among students. Together, they will engage in enlightening discussions that will benefit them in their fields and careers. The symposium will also serve as a catalyst for collaboration, knowledge exchange and the exploration of innovative educational solutions.
